We
founded TRAC (Technology Resource Assistance Center) in 1986 to
provide computer-consulting services to the nonprofit sector in
the San Francisco Bay Area. We started TRAC because we were interested
in applying our expertise in computer technology to help advance
the important work of myriad community organizations.
As
consultants, we were frequently asked to recommend fundraising
software. We quickly became frustrated by the very high prices
and the complexity of the systems then on the market.
Very
soon after we began our work, we were asked to develop software
in two niches where no products yet existed: fundraising software
for the Macintosh and an integrated system for community foundations.
These products have evolved over the years to become Exceed!
Premier and Exceed!
Basic for Windows, and MacTRAC for the Macintosh.
Both fundraising software systems are in wide use throughout the
United States and around the world.
In
2002, we changed the company name to "Telosa Software."
In deciding to rename the company, we wanted an identity that
better reflected who we are today. Derived from the Greek word
telos, which means the fulfillment or completion
of an end goal or result, we feel that the Telosa name echoes
our passion for providing best-in-class software and support that
empowers nonprofits to fulfill their core mission, and is more
reflective of the software company, not just consulting firm,
weve become over the past 20 years.
As
we move forward, we will continue to meet the evolving needs of
the nonprofit sector, whether by taking advantage of the latest
technology such as the Internet or by enhancing our products to
meet the growing sophistication of fundraising organizations.
We
look forward to welcoming you to our growing family.
