Fundraising Effectiveness Project Update

Telosa is committed to meeting the evolving needs of the nonprofit sector, whether by taking advantage of the latest technology or by enhancing our products to meet the growing sophistication of fundraising organizations. To continue our commitment Telosa is a participant in the Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP), which was launched by a partnership of research, charitable, professional and service organizations to help nonprofits increase overall charitable giving.

The survey fills the data gap by measuring fundraising gains and losses in categories that have not been the focus of earlier studies—new donors, lapsed donors, and donors who have increased or decreased their gifts.

Telosa has worked hard to develop the necessary tools for our clients to participate in this survey in the past. We are now proud to announce the release of an updated survey tool that will allow our clients to easily submit the survey data required by the FEP via the internet.

To support the goals of this project, we encourage all of our Exceed! Basic and Exceed! Premier clients to download the FEP tool using the links provided below.

FEP Tool Installation Instructions: (Click here for a printable version)

1.	Download the installer for your version of Exceed! below. We recommend saving the file to your desktop.
2.	After the installer is downloaded, you should find it on your desktop. For Premier clients, the file is FEP.exe, for Basic users the file is FEPBasic.exe. Double click this file to begin the installation.
3.	The installer will try to locate your Exceed! application folder. The folder is usually called Exceed for Premier users and Exbasic for Basic users. It may be located on your C: drive or a network drive. If the installer doesn't locate it, you can click on the BROWSE button and locate the folder.
4.	Once you have located your application folder, click the Next button. Click the Next button on the Welcome screen that appears.
5.	Review the instructions screen and click Next.
6.	Click Yes at the Software License screen.
7.	The installer will open your internet browser to the FEP survey website to give you more information on the survey. Then the installer will open the FEP Survey Tool. Answer the questions on the survey and then click the OK button to submit your data to the survey.
	Note: The file that is sent to FEP can be found in your Exceed or Exbasic folder and will start with TEL and end with TXT. There will be random characters in the file name.
